A third generation Californian, Catherine has worked in Senior Housing and Healthcare for over 20 years. Starting at Casa Dorinda, a unique Life Care Community in beautiful Montecito, her journey continued toward the development of new communities in La Jolla and Northern California.
Returning to Santa Barbara, Catherine was pleased to serve at Valle Verde, an ABHOW Continuing Care Retirement Community as Health Center Administrator for 7 years.
As a licensed nursing home administrator, retirement housing professional and Executive Director of GranVida, Catherine is working with various groups, local businesses and community leaders sharing the good news about GranVida. She looks forward to meeting the residents, their families and their friends.
Catherine’s hobbies include riding horses, hiking and swimming.
Gillian was born and raised in Liverpool, England—but she’s not actually a Beatles fan. Seeking warmer climates, adventure and a chance to travel the world, she backpacked all over Australia, New Zealand and Asia in her late 20s. She also ventured into Canada before emigrating to the USA in her late 30s.
She has worked as an RN throughout California—from San Juan Capistrano, to San Francisco (where she has a sister), to Arcata, and as a wellness nurse for a senior living community in Hawaii.
Gillian made her transition into Life Enrichment three years ago while living in Portland, OR. More recently, she worked with Brookdale in Chicago, then drove her trusty Honda across the U.S.A. on an epic road trip. Today, she’s quite delighted to be back in California as the Life Enrichment Director here at GranVida.
Her hobbies include arts, crafts, communing with nature, hiking, the ocean, and especially writing, storytelling and performing—in San Francisco, Portland, and Chicago. She soon hopes to introduce the power of storytelling with the GranVida community because nothing gives Gillian more pleasure than listening to the amazing life stories of her residents.
A native of Santa Paula, Ashley began her senior living career at University Village of Thousand Oaks, a CCRC, learning first-hand about the continuum of care. There, she embraced the importance of building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
In 2016, Ashley joined GranVida Senior Living as a Sales Assistant prior to our grand opening. A year later, she was promoted to Director of Sales to help build a thriving model of what Senior Living communities can be in Santa Barbara County.
Daily, she still enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of the seniors we serve.
When not at work, Ashley is earning her college degree at Ventura College, while spending time with her partner and two young children.
