ONE OF THE LAST GREAT BEACH TOWNS

To the outside world, Carpinteria is known as one of California’s last great beach towns. If you live here, you can call it “Carp”, and it’s home of the “World’s Safest Beach.”

From the seals and sea lions, to the tide pools, beach campgrounds and bird watching, they are all here in Carpinteria. The annual Rods and Roses and California Avocado Festivals, Santa Claus Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony are just some of the many events residents and visitors alike enjoy.

In “Carp” just about everybody knows their neighbors and shop owners by first names – and our kids have grown up with their kids.

In 2015, Carp celebrated its Golden Jubilee. It’s good to know that it still has what it had 50 years ago. It’s good to know it never lost it.

This town, which the natives lovingly call “Carp”, is home to GranVida Senior Living and Memory Care.
